Brandon spent over a decade as a registered nurse across forensic psychiatry, addictions nursing, brain injury care, and community health. When COVID hit, he was travel nursing in British Columbia, doing some of the most demanding clinical work of his career while trying to build something of his own on the side.
The pandemic made one thing impossible to ignore: the income model most people depend on has a hard ceiling. Time traded directly for dollars. The expertise, the clinical judgment, the depth of knowledge accumulated over a decade in high-acuity environments? None of it scaled. When the shift ended, the earning stopped.
What followed was a deliberate pivot. New technologies, specifically AI tools, content systems, and digital asset frameworks, were opening up a different kind of leverage for people with real knowledge and hard-earned perspective. Brandon built Author Your Assets to meet that moment, and to make the path legible for everyone else who has more to offer than their current situation allows them to show.
He is currently completing a Human Rights Consultant certification focused on protecting human dignity in the digital age. That's not a side note. It shapes everything AYA touches.
